More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
The first step of partnering together to clear the path ahead is to listen. I need to have a clear understanding of your goals to ensure that I provide you with the resources you need, and also make sure that you have the appropriate supports and services in place. I will then continue to serve as a resource and promote your health, safety and self-direction.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I'm a very independent person and it's rewarding to support others in a professional manner to maintain their own independence. It's an honor getting to know the people that I serve while being a resource and advocate for them while they self-direct.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I worked as an IRIS Consultant and long-term care functional screener with a different agency for just under three years prior to joining TMG. I was a program director and ran licensed Adult Family Homes throughout the Central Wisconsin area for over a decade prior to the IRIS Consultant role. Working as program director helped me develop my advocacy skills and gave me a greater understanding of caregiving. Caregiving truly is an art and I have had the pleasure of experiencing how difficult, yet rewarding, it can be. I've also supported family members navigating long-term care supports and services for their first time. This is given me firsthand experience on how overwhelming it can be to enroll into a Medicaid program when everything is brand new. I approach situations with compassion and empathy to properly support you while navigating the IRIS program.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy simply being at home with my husband and our golden retriever. I'm happiest when I'm outside hiking, kayaking, working in my yard or simply basking in the sunshine. I grew up in Bayfield County and cherish my visits up north to see my family and spend time on Lake Superior.
