I have worked in Dane County for the past 24 years. I have supported adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, high medical needs and mental illness. For the past 14 years, I have worked as support broker for a Dane County Support Broker agency (Catholic Charities). I also worked for a vocational agency for 10 years assisting people with employment. I am very familiar with the resources that Dane County has to offer to people with disabilities and elders. I supported individuals to find employment and provided on-the-job training and job coaching as needed. As a support broker/case manager, I collaborated with teams, monitored/coordinated services throughout Dane County and advocated for each individual I supported.

I would take the time to get to know you and what you want out of your life. I would learn about what your goals are and how I can help you achieve those goals. I will also help you maximize all your available resources so that you can get what you need to help reach your goals and dreams.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being an IRIS Consultant is helping the individual self-direct their supports and becoming a part of their team. This kind of partnership allows me to help them achieve their goals and what they want out of life. I enjoy getting to know the individual and watch them succeed on their path through life.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked for Dane County over the past 24 years. Dane County is a firm believer in using self-directed supports, much like IRIS. The individuals that I have worked with have shown me what it means to follow their dreams and do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two sons and our two dogs. I also enjoy getting outdoors, watching football, camping and reading.
