I have worked in this field for over 25 years, and have done everything from personal cares to helping someone sell their art. My experiences have given me great insight on partnering with people with developmental disabilities. It is amazing to help people create goals to live more independently, and then seeing that person achieve those goals. When I’m not at work, I love being outside and gardening. My two Labrador retrievers love being out in the yard while I garden as well.

To me, partnering means we are a team. I am here to learn about you and find out what your goals are. Together, we will make a plan to achieve your goals. Together, we will find what services and/or supports are best for you.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
It's amazing to help people create goals to live more independently, and then seeing that person achieve those goals. It's very gratifying to be a part of that process.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
As a residential case manager, I've previously worked with other IRIS Consultants to help them build a person's plan. It is thrilling to be on the other side of putting a person's plan in place!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to be outside, and I love to garden. I have two dogs, both Labrador retrievers, who like to be out in the yard while I am in the garden. I’m also a huge camper, and try to go camping at least four times over the summer. However, I’m not a fan of winter. When the wither is cold, there is nothing I like better than watching a mystery and knitting.
