How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering means learning about you and your goals, then making an action plan that you feel comfortable with to achieve them. We work together to establish and identify services or supports that are currently available. This will help to stretch your IRIS budget and keep the resources you need to get the care and support necessary to realize those important goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I am a firm believer in keeping the person at the center of their decision-making. This keeps you in control of the things happening around you. As a TMG IRIS Consultant, I thoroughly enjoy empowering people to reach their goals and celebrating with them when they achieve them.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
It has long been a passion of mine to understand how people interact and communicate their needs to each other. This passion has led me on a path of learning that helped me develop valuable communication skills. My education has been helpful in this area, but my hands-on experience has been the most beneficial. It has allowed me to develop a greater understanding of barriers in communication and how to help others overcome them. Through this I have been successful in helping others expand their ability to communicate and achieve their goals and desires.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, which includes two grown children and two beautiful grandchildren. When the weather is warm, I like to spend time outside in my flower and vegetable gardens and taking walks in the woods. I also enjoy traveling, camping and reading romance mystery novels.
