More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
To me, clearing the path ahead means that by working together, having honest communication, and creating clear goals, we can come together to accomplish any goal in front of us. To do this, first I want to learn who you are as a person and what goals you want to accomplish - whether that be short-term or long-term goals. Then, once we have identified what those goals are, I will help you create an action plan for how to make those goals possible and attainable. I will then help you navigate the different supports or services that will best benefit you to accomplish your goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is being able to help others become the person they are meant to be by helping them accomplish goals, so they can live a truly self-directed life. I believe you are your own person with your own wants and desires. I also believe that certain things are undeniable rights that everyone has, such as living your life the way you choose. I am passionate about helping people live their best life, doing what they choose.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My education in human development and family studies, plus my previous experience in long-term care and working with Lutheran Social Services, have given me a great foundation and opportunity to work in human services. Working for a long-term care facility also allowed me to help a variety of clients at different stages in life, helping them to stay as active as they choose and to keep their lives as whole as they chose. By doing this, I became an advocate for them as an individual because I got to know who they are as a person.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my hobby farm with my husband, and spending quality time with him, our son, my dog and cat, and our chickens. I also like outdoors activities, spending time with my family on Lake Wissota, cooking and baking, listening to music, watching our great Packers play during the fall, gardening during the summer months, canning foods, and traveling our beautiful state of Wisconsin. Spending time with my loved ones is most important to me, so I am with my families as much as I can be.
