More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I am passionate about empowering others to be as independent as possible and partnering with people to help them achieve their goals. I like to be a cheerleader for others and enhance their strengths and their confidence. I enjoy collaborating with others to think outside the box and to individualize everyone's goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy being a TMG IRIS Consultant because I get to work alongside people and watch them grow and succeed. The people I partner with are directing their own lives and I get to be there to cheer them on. I love advocating for others and collaborating as a team to empower people to achieve their goals.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I've been working in the human services field for 17 years. I am a people person and love being around others. I started out working with senior citizens as a caregiver, then as an activities director at an assisted living facility, and then as a staff coordinator for in-home care. I loved being able to work with seniors and their loved ones to keep them safe, happy, and in their homes. Then I worked as a care manager for adults with disabilities and the elderly. I love building relationships with individuals and their families to promote their independence. I also lost a grandpa to Alzheimer's and a grandma to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), so I personally understand what families go through to care for their loved ones.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our friends. My husband and I have a daughter and a son who keep us very busy with their sports (baseball, basketball, football, soccer) and plays. I drink way too much coffee. I play soccer all year round and I like to run (but that doesn't mean I'm fast). I snuggle our pug named Miller as much as he'll let me. I love to curl up on the couch with a good book and a warm blanket, but my happiest place is on our patio. I love soaking up the sun, listening to music, and trying to beat my husband in cribbage or bean bags.
