How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people to clear the path ahead by understanding that everyone has a past, but using that past to continue self-growth and self-discovery. It is important to support people in the way they want to be supported.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love being able to work with a lot of different people and help them meet their needs and goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Prior to becoming a TMG IRIS Consultant, I worked with in-home care and supported people with various disabilities to help them live their best life, as well as helped them to be more involved in their communities if that was their goal. I think this experience has helped prepare me because I know the moving pieces and the teamwork that can go into supporting individuals with disabilities as well as the communication it takes.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I have two dogs, so a lot of my free time is spent at a dog park or going for long walks. I also enjoy running for fun, and used to be a competitive runner when I was younger. I also volunteer at a local pet rescue called Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin. A fun fact about me is that I LOVE movies – if you like Disney trivia, I got you!
