Location & Experience

Other Experience:
I previously worked as a service coordinator for the Children's Long Term Support Waiver Program, servicing individuals with disabilities and mental health diagnoses. I assisted many individuals with the transition from the CLTS Waiver Program to the ADRC/adult long-term waiver programs. I have experience working with individuals in the school setting, helping mediate and represent clients in IEP meetings and transitional services. I have a significant amount of experience in obtaining adaptive aids, and facilitating home modification projects for individuals with physical disabilities. I am familiar with, and have partnered with many agencies that provide alternative therapies and recreational activities in Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties. Prior to this role, I worked as a respite care provider for many years, as well as a camp counselor for children and adults with developmental disabilities. A vast majority of the clients that I worked with have had autism, but I have worked with many individuals who had cerebral palsy, chromosomal disorders, and varying developmental and physical disabilities.  I recently obtained my Master's Degree in Public Health from UW-Milwaukee. I am very passionate about understanding and recognizing social determinants of health. There are many factors that play into someone living their best life, including housing, employment, social supports, etc., and I look forward to meeting each individual where they are at to achieve their goals and using the network of agencies that I have worked with previously to find the best fit.

More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I meet each individual where they are at, and empower participants to utilize resources that may help them reach their goals!

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy finding and referring my participants to resources that I know will be a great fit for them, and seeing their confidence and skills grow as a result of those services.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked with individuals with disabilities for almost 10 years. I have worked in a long-term waiver program for children with disabilities, provided respite care, daily living skills, and personal care services to several children and adults with disabilities. In several prior roles, I worked in community outreach and provided resources to clients.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free-time, I love reading and spending time at local parks with my dog. I love trying new restaurants in the area and attending sporting events with friends and family.
