More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
It is important to learn as much as possible about the person and what they want to achieve. Then together, we can create a plan that will give them the best means of reaching their goals. I will provide resources and support to assist them through their process of living the best life possible.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My passion is helping others, especially older adults and people with disabilities. Being a TMG IRIS Consultant gives me the opportunity to work with people that need assistance and guidance in directing their care and working towards achieving their dreams. I love to see people happy and satisfied with their lives.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My older sister was developmentally disabled – she could not talk or take care of her needs by herself and relied on our family for her care. She lived with my parents her entire life until she passed at the age of 52. Growing up with her taught me patience, sensitivity, kindness and my passion for helping others. I also worked with older adults and their families and gained years of experience working with people with dementia. I conducted many dementia trainings throughout my career to help people better understand it and have compassion and patience. I was an ambassador for the Alzheimer's Association and had the opportunity to visit senators and congress in Washington D.C. to advocate for people with Alzheimer's Disease.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My husband and I have two sons, and our lives have revolved around all of their sporting events and activities- football, basketball, baseball, and wrestling. We love to spend time at the cabin and on the lake in the summer and be outdoors as much as possible. During winter, I enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling. I try to take our dog, Wiley, for a walk as often as possible.
