How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering with new participants to me means getting to know you as an individual by learning about your current needs and future goals. We would then work together to discuss the various service and support options that are available, develop a plan, set goals and secure any supports necessary to achieve your goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is being able to help people to self-direct their life and achieve their goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Working as a Direct Support Professional in an Adult Family Home has allowed me to interact with and provide first line care for individuals of varying abilities. This role has taught me to take the time to get to know each participant as an individual and the importance of not only maintaining their skills and independence, but also broadening them.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to spend my free time surrounded by friends and family. I especially love to travel with my husband and daughter.
