How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Listening and gaining an adequate understanding of the needs and goals of participants, and identifying areas of opportunity, and how I can best assist in all of these areas, will be essential for successful partnerships. Strong partnerships will be critical to ensure that participants are receiving all of the necessary services and supports to meet their needs and goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I really like the idea of supporting people, and helping them maintain their independence
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I think most of my previous employment experience will be helpful in this role. The time I have spent with patients and families on education related to a variety of topics, care coordination, follow up care, previous in-home visits and evaluations--I think all of these experiences and opportunities will be helpful in this new role.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am a very family-oriented person. The majority of my free time is spent with family. We are dog lovers in our home, and have a few helping keep us company. I also love nature and the outdoors. I especially enjoy hiking and foraging. I am passionate about holistic health and wellness. I do also enjoy traveling and exploring, as I am able.
