How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering in a self-directing program to me represents my partner driving their plan of action. To achieve this, I like to ask questions, so my partner is able to determine which specific steps and actions need to be taken to reach their goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being TMG IRIS Consultant is working with so many different people with different backgrounds. Everyone has different needs which is why a self-direct life is so important and can be really gratifying.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Working at Association of Community Empowerment as a Supervised Visitation Worker I have developed skills in communication, problem solving and showing sensitivity. These skills have prepared me to fulfill my duties as a TMG IRIS Consultant. This position has given me experience with partnering and coming to solutions with individuals dealing with challenging circumstances. s
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and traveling. I really enjoy being outdoors and watching action movies.
