More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
As your partner in the IRIS program it is important that I learn about you. Listening to your perspective to understand not only your needs but also how you want live your life and what you want out of life. It involves establishing together a plan and services to meet your needs but also recognizing your personal goals. Additional creative thinking, collecting information/ideas from others, or an internet search may reveal a direction in which you can move forward on personal life goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
As a TMG IRIS Consultant my favorite part involves all the interesting people I meet along the way with their unique stories and experiences. It is also rewarding when there are opportunities to assist someone in reaching their goals.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked with individuals with varying abilities in a variety of positions. Prior to being a TMG IRIS Consultant I worked as a direct care staff, house manager and director in adult family homes. I continue to provide support as a guardian to eight individuals and also with a few of my family members that have varying disabilities. I understand the importance for individuals to maintain their independence, make choices for themselves, and reach their own personal success.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I live in the country with my husband and two boys (age 7 and 11). They keep me busy with outside activities involving bow practice, camping, beach days, frog catching, fishing, and exploring the woods. On occasion I can enjoy some creative activities such as scrapbooking or crafty projects found on Pinterest. In the spring I especially like planting flowers although, still working on the green thumb.
