More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with someone by getting to know them as well as possible. I learn what it is that they want to achieve or what they find enjoyable, fulfilling, and/or interesting. From that point, I work together with the person to come up with a plan to facilitate achievement and satisfaction for the person.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being an IRIS Consultant is that the program is self-directed. This is my favorite thing because I'm extremely comfortable with helping clear the path for people to do just what they like or want to do, as opposed to trying to help implement something that is not person-centered.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I believe that my past experience as a Caregiver as well as a Coordinator prepared me to be an IRIS Consultant. As a caregiver, I built strong reltionships and always had to pay close attention to very medically dependent participants, documenting extensively on their status and condition. As a Program Coordinator, I continued to build relationships, working with a care team to help create and implement person centered goals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like to cook, shop and dine out with friends, spend quality time with my daughter and travel to and explore new places.
